Student working on SEO course materials at home

Not really. The course starts from the basics and gradually moves to more technical areas. If you know how to use a browser and have a general idea of how websites work, you're ready. We explain things like crawling, indexing, and structured data in plain terms before going into the technical side. People with no coding background complete this course regularly — you don't need to write a single line of code to apply most of what we cover.

The learning program is structured around self-paced progress, so it really depends on how much time you put in per week. Most students working through it at 4–6 hours per week finish within 6 to 8 weeks. If you have more time, you can move faster. There's no hard deadline — once you're enrolled, you keep access to all materials so you can revisit topics at any point without rushing through them.

The course covers keyword research, on-page optimisation, technical SEO audits, link building fundamentals, local SEO, and tracking performance with Google Search Console and Analytics. There's also a dedicated section on content strategy — how to structure and write pages that rank. Each module uses real website examples, not made-up scenarios. You'll work through actual audit tasks and keyword analyses as part of the exercises.

Yes. The course is designed for remote learners and everything is delivered online. The core SEO principles — how Google evaluates and ranks pages — apply globally regardless of where you're based. We also include examples that reflect the South African market: local search, Google My Business for SA businesses, and how to approach content for regional audiences. You study from home at your own pace, no commuting or fixed class times involved.

That's the whole point. Each module ends with a practical task you can run on a real site — yours, a client's, or a practice site we provide. You'll do things like run a technical audit, map keyword intent to pages, and review internal linking. By the time you finish, you'll have a working knowledge of the tools (Screaming Frog, Ahrefs free tier, Search Console) and a process you can actually follow, not just theory to recite.

Yes. There's a discussion board for each module where you can post questions, and our tutors check it regularly. For more direct help, you can email us at help@calvorentis.com. We try to respond within one business day. You're also not the only one going through this — the board often has answers from other students who've hit the same stumbling block, which honestly can be quicker than waiting for a tutor reply.

Immediately. Once your enrolment is confirmed, you get access to the full course platform straight away. There's no waiting period or cohort start date. You can jump into Module 1 the same day or take a day to browse through the course outline first. Enrolment is open right now so you can get started whenever it suits you.
